Hello, I’m Clare, jewellery designer, maker and owner of Clare Sheridan-Wallis Jewellery. I live in Hampshire with my partner, Scott, our daughter Poppy Rae and baby Elliott.
I create contemporary designs, inspired by natural forms and calm environments of the surrounding New Forest, where we live. I use different techniques and processes, such as etching and casting, to apply patterns and symbols of the forest into the surface of silver. Each piece of jewellery is unique.
I graduated from Hereford College of Arts (University of Wales) with a BA Honours Degree in Contemporary Applied Arts in 2008. I had started working in small metals in the second year of my degree and found that my passion was working with silver. After university, I continued to craft in my spare time, but it was only when I moved to The New Forest in 2016 that I discovered the theme that I had long been seeking. It is my love for the natural environment of The New Forest. This is now the primary source of inspiration for my jewellery designs.
